A display of Christmas trees and nativity scene at St Thomas's Church
St Thomas’s Christmas Tree Festival at St Thomas’s Church
The Christmas Tree Festival takes place from 4th – 9th December 2018.
It is a community display enjoyed not only by people local to Salisbury but by many who travel long distances to visit.
One of the biggest and best attended events of its type in the UK.
There is no charge to enter a tree or nativity scene. Over 100 decorated trees and nativity scenes will be on display, all submitted from local organisations in South Wiltshire, and all created with loving care to raise money for nominated charities.
There is a full programme of music throughout the week performed by individuals and groups of musicians as well as singing groups, choirs, and school choirs from both primary and secondary schools. The music programme is as much a part of the Festival as the artistic exhibits.
Delicious home-cooked food is sold in the church café throughout the week and is welcome and very popular.
